massachusetts in autumn

i’ll come back as a mouse that lives in a library

i’ll chew on almonds,dried figs, and stale bread

i would spend my mornings reading, then i’d visit my friend cat and her girlfriend bird

in autumn i would move into a hole near a window, so i could enjoy the autumn breeze and beautiful leaves

at twilight i would watch people live their lives

in the night time i’ll go to the aquarium next door

then ill return home to sleep in my matchbox bed

and ill be happy finally
