Don’t give into nostalgia.Forget us all.

"Forget I even lived"; "I don't need a grave"; and "Don't talk about why I died".

was initially puzzling to read. I can’t say I understand or arrived at these sentiments via the same road but now i have the same or at least similar wishes.

When I was younger, I wanted to be very famous so that when I died, many people would be sad. (Im not sure whether or not I realized it at the time, but all it meant was that if people were sad about me dying, then they must have cared about me. What I was really saying was that I wanted lots of people to care about me.)

Nowadays, I am more concerned about every one else’s well being. If they can manage to forget about me, then they won’t have to be sad when it comes.
